Are you a law student or a prospective law student? Are you not sure if the legal field is for you because of the high cost of tuition? Are you in need of some financial assistance to help you get started? Check out this video where previous scholarship recipients talk about their experiences receiving finanaidtance and how it impacted their work.

The impact of scholarships cannot be overstated. Our advice to all prospective law students is to apply for as many scholarships as possible before school starts and during your first years of law school. Law school tuition is historically a huge barrier for people of color entering the field of law. As you can see in the video, Latinx people make up a small percentage of the active lawyers in Washington. We need that to change. From our experience, people want attorneys that look, speak, and connect like them.

LBAW also offers free Spanish-speaking legal clinics each month at El Centro De La Raza. Attorney Andre Dayani regularly volunteers at the clinic and has helped hundreds of people navigate their legal issues.
