Two Felony Charges Dismissed!

Two Felony Charges Dismissed!

Today we are very happy to announce that Dayani Law Firm successfully negotiated the dismissal of three charges against Our Client. The State of Washington charged Our Client in Snohomish Superior Court with two felonies and a gross misdemeanor. The charges unsettled Our Client, they consumed their life, and made this year the hardest year of Our Client’s life.

A conviction of these charges would have potentially exposed Our Client to years of prison, loss of his family, and deportation.

Only Forward

I have been reading the Art of War, a fascinating piece of literature that discusses the art of strategy and preparation for battle (and life). I recently pondered the teaching below:

"Throw your soldiers into positions whence there is no escape, and they will prefer death to flight.

If they will face death, there is nothing they may not achieve. Officers and men alike will put forth their uttermost strength."

In this quote, General Sun Tzu discusses his strategic decision of giving his soldiers no escape route.

Taking away his men's escape gave his army only one possibility: forward.

Patronizing a Prostitute Charge Dismissed.

We've been staying busy at Dayani Law Firm and wanted to share some recent successes. For the second month in a row, we successfully convinced Prosecutors to DISMISS two charges of Patronizing a Prostitute. For both clients, it served as a huge relief because neither clients had never ever been charged with a crime before.

In January, I was recognized in the NW Lawyer Magazine for my community service to the El Centro De La Raza Spanish Legal Clinic. The free bilingual (English/Spanish) clinic is offered monthly, typically helping 50–80 clients per clinic with the help of volunteer attorneys.

In 2017, I contributed over 20 hours of pro-bono representation at Centro de la Raza Clinic. I have consulted attendees with criminal defense issues, contract law, and some personal injury matters. In January, I led a “Know Your Rights” campaign at legal clinic (more details to come).
